On November 10, 2021, SAMHSA hosted webinar #1 of the “Talk. They Hear You.”® campaign’s new student assistance program (SAP) webinar series. This series builds on the campaign’s “Student Assistance – A Guide for School Administrators” and related resources for student assistance professionals and programs. It also highlights select SAP elements and showcases states that are doing exceptional work in this area. Webinar #1 focused on the following: 1) Introduction to SAPs, with background and information on the continuum of student support services; 2) Overview of how SAPs function in schools; and 3) Links to academic and behavioral success.
