SAMHSA shares a training, DIS 101, to support the new Disparity Impact Statement (DIS) release in September 2022. This training provides guidance for grantees and grant program staff about how the new DIS more effectively aligns with efforts to reduce behavioral health disparities. Training outlines how the updated DIS provides grantees an opportunity to identify the disparity problem, describe how they will use the grant to address those identified disparities, and supports the grantee in creating a disparity reduction quality improvement plan that will sustain outcomes into the future.
