The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) held a webinar and conference call on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 2:30 – 4:30 EST, for prospective applicants interested in applying for fiscal year 2023 Grants to Expand Substance Abuse Treatment Capacity in Adult and Family Treatment Drug Courts (Short Title: SAMAHSA Treatment Drug Courts), Notice of Funding Opportunity Announcement No. TI-23-007. The webinar and conference call was led by SAMHSA Center for Substance Abuse Treatment and Grants Management staff. The purpose of this program is to expand substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and recovery support services in existing drug courts. The program recognizes the need for treatment instead of incarceration for individuals with SUDs. These awards provide a continuum of care for individuals with SUD involved with the courts including prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery services.
